Charles Sinek
U.S.

together for the past seven years. Handra from San Francisco and
Sinek from Boston paired up in 1995 and eventually moved to
Rockland County, New York to train at Sport-o-rama under
four-time Latvian Champion and Olympic-level coach, Inese
Bucevica.

The couples success at six U.S.
National Championships earned them positions on the U.S. Figure
Skating Team. As veteran U.S. Team members, Handra and Sinek
have competed internationally at various ISU Grand Prix events,
such as Skate America, Skate Canada, and several Four Continents
Championships. They also were selected to compete at two more
Grand Prix events this past season, Cup of Russia in St.
Petersburg and Nations Cup in Germany.
The
biggest highlight of the duos competitive career was
representing the United States at the 2002 Olympic Winter Games
held in Salt Lake City this past February. Being part of the
U.S. Olympic Team was a shared lifetime dream this married
couple was finally able to fulfill together.
Beata and Charles have recently
relocated to the Albany area where they are now giving private
and group lessons in the areas many local rinks. They teach
skaters of all ages and levels from tots to adults and beginners
